Why Study Abroad?

Spending time studying off-campus can be a pivotal opportunity for you. You can connect what you're learning in the classroom with real life experiences. Enhance your education and expand your horizons through options for local, national, and international opportunities to study, learn and serve.

You can:

  • add a global dimension and understanding to your academic program and expand your range of course options.
  • improve your cross-cultural sensitivity, understanding and communication skills.
  • increase your proficiency in a foreign language.
  • enhance your self-confidence and sense of independence.
  • obtain more experience in your professional field
  • add a critical component to your resume

Education abroad opportunities help to further the educational goals of Malone through learning in unique environments and cultural settings. These come in a variety of possibilities from one to two week service learning trips, short term summer study trips of three weeks, full semester and full year options. An extended period of cultural immersion helps one to self-reflect while gaining understanding of others. You will have the opportunity to develop new knowledge, skills abilities and attitudes that will help you throughout your life.
